Later you will be transferred to the gorgeous Giza railway station to catch the sleeper train from Cairo to Luxor. Dinner will be served on board.

Upon arrival to Aswan, head to visit the Temple of Philae. Dedicated to the gods Osiris and Isis, the temple has some magnificent features including many pylons gigantic decorated stone capitals and many other wonders. The whole complex was relocated after the construction of the High Dam to its current location at the Agilkia Island.
Your next visit would be to the High Dam, one of the greatest accomplishments of modern Egypt. Former president Gamal Abdel Nasser constructed the High Dam to preserve the water of the River Nile and produce electricity in 1960s.
Later, you’ll head back to the hotel in Aswan for check-in and overnight in Aswan.

These temples near the Sudanese border are iconic for their beauty, but remarkable for their modern history as well -- they were completely relocated in 1968 to avoid submersion by the massive Lake Nasser. After your time spent exploring the temples, you’ll return to Aswan and board the sleeper train for an overnight trip back to Cairo.
