The sleeper train from Cairo to Aswan takes about 14 hours, and the journey from Luxor to Cairo takes about 11 hours. To reduce time spent traveling, you can upgrade your trip package for about $155 per person to travel by domestic flight instead (about 1.5 hours).

    Day 1: Arrival in Cairo - Welcome to the Land of the Pharaohs

    Upon arrival at the Cairo Airport, the Deluxe Tours Egypt tour Manager will welcome you for a marvelous package in Egypt. You ride in one of our comfortable AC vehicles towards your hotel in Cairo. You have the rest of the day to enjoy the Egyptian capital at your own pace and style. Overnight in the hotel in Cairo

    Day 2: Pyramids and Egyptian Museum and Bazaar Tour - Train to Aswan

    Enjoy your breakfast at the hotel in Cairo before checking out, and then your personal tour guide will accompany you to the Giza Plateau to visit one of the seven wonders of the ancient world: the Great Pyramids of Cheops, Chefren, and Mykerinus, along with the famous Sphinx and Valley Temple. Then, head out to the Egyptian Museum which hosts the largest number of ancient Egyptian displays. The museum exhibits more than 120 thousand pieces extending from the pre-dynastic period to the Roman era. This is where you learn all about Pharaonic history and culture. The most important highlights include the collection of Tut Ankh Amun. Continue to Islamic Cairo, where you will be able to explore Khan El Khalili Bazaar where traders have been selling their ware ever since the 14th century. If there is anything, in particular, you want to buy at the bazaar, your guide will be happy to help you find what you are looking for. Even if you don’t want to do any shopping, the bazaar is a great place to walk around or to sit down for some coffee while you watch the locals going about with their daily lives, Later, you will be transferred to the gorgeous Giza train station to catch the sleeper train from Cairo to Aswan. Dinner and breakfast will be served on board.

    Day 3: Aswan Nile Cruise Tours- Aswan Sightseeing
    Visits: High Dam Philae Temple, Unfinished Obelisk.

    Upon your arrival at the Aswan train station, you will be met and assisted by a Deluxe Tours representative, who will then transfer you to your Egypt Nile River Cruises. Enjoy lunch on board, after which you will be guided to visit the famous High Dam, the majestic Philae temple of devotion to the two goddesses Isis and Hathor, and the massive Unfinished Obelisk, still resting on its side in the stone quarries of ancient Egypt. Then, back to the cruise ship with dinner on board.

    Day 4: Visit Kom Ombo
    Visits: Kom Ombo, Temple of Kom Ombo.

    After breakfast on board, you’ll sail to Kom Ombo, where you’ll visit the twin Temple of Kom Ombo, where you’ll learn about the crocodile god Sobek and the falcon god Horus, whose monuments decorate each half of the temple. You’ll have your lunch back on board the ship and sail on to Edfu and have dinner on board as well.

    Day 5: Visit Edfu Temple - Luxor Nile Cruise Tours

    Day 6: Luxor Nile Cruise - Train to Cairo
    Visits: Valley of the Kings, Mortuary Temple of Hatshepsut, Colossi of Memnon, Karnak Temple, Luxor Temple.

    Enjoy a relaxed breakfast on board. Disembarkation after breakfast and enjoy a wonderful tour to visit the West Bank of Luxor, or the city of the Dead as the Pharaohs used to call it. You start your visits by exploring the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, one of the most charming mortuary temples of ancient Egypt. Famous Queen Hatshepsut constructed this temple which is featured with its terraces, statues of the queen disguised as a Pharaoh, and the chapels of Anubis and Hathor.

    Your next visit to the West Bank would be to the Colossi of Memnon. These two huge statues represent the only remaining section of the once glorious temple of Amenhotep III.

    Your last visit of the day would be to the Valley of the Kings, the richest necropolis of ancient Egypt. Starting from the 18th dynasty, kings began digging their tombs inside the mountains to hide them away from robbers. The best tombs today include the popular tomb of Tut Ankh Amun, the tomb of Tuthomsis III, and many other beautifully colored tombs.

    Lunch on board; proceed to visit East Bank (Karnak Temple and Luxor Temple).

    Then Move to visit Karnak Temples, the Karnak Temple, the amazing complex that took more than 1000 years to be completed as each king and Pharaoh wanted to have his contribution added to it. You visit the startling hypostyle hall constructed by Ramses II, the sacred lake, several obelisks, and much more.

    Your next visit would be to the Luxor Temple, another fascinating temple of ancient Egypt. Featured with the two huge statues of Ramses II at the entrance, the temple was constructed more than 3000 years ago, today it shows how great, and brilliant the Pharaohs were with a civilization that existed for thousands of years. Later, you’ll head to the Luxor train station to catch the sleeper train back to Cairo. Dinner will be served on board the train.

    Day 7: Cairo Optional Excursions
    Optional Visits: Step Pyramid of King Zoser, Sakkara, Memphis the Oldest Capital.

    Breakfast aboard the sleeper train before arriving at the Giza train station, where you will be met and assisted by a Deluxe Tours representative who will transfer you to your hotel for some leisure time (you will check into your room as early as possible). There are some optional excursions available in Cairo: you may wish to visit the Step Pyramid of King Zoser in Sakkara and Memphis.

In case you cancel your trip, the following of charges will be applied:

  • From the date of booking until 61 days before your arrival date, 7% of the tour package price will be charged.
  • Between 60 and 21 days before your arrival date, 20% of the entire tour Package price will be charged.
  • Between 20 and 7 days before your arrival date, 40% of the package tour price will be charged.
  • Between 6 and 1 days before your arrival date, 75% of the tour package price will be applied.
