Itineraries

Arrive at Luxor airport / Train Railway Station for your 5 days MS Mayfair Nile cruise, you will be met by our tour representatives and one of our drivers, who will then take you to the Port where you will be boarding your 5-Star Egypt Nile River cruise.

After boarding your Luxury cruise ship, you will enjoy your first on-board lunch, and then you will be taken for a tour on the Luxor East Bank visiting the Karnak Temple. This is the largest Pharaonic temple in the whole world and history. Although established in the Middle Kingdom, the Karnak took around 2,000 years to be completed. You enjoy exploring the huge columns of the Hypostyle Hall, the avenues of the sphinxes, the sacred lake, and many other features. You move on to the Luxor Temple, one of the finest ancient Egyptian structures of all time! This is where you view the huge colossi of Ramses II at the entrance, in addition to several other impressive sections. Following your East Bank tour, you will then return to the cruise ship in time for a very entertaining Egyptian Belly Dance Show. Later in the day you will you served a good dinner aboard the ship, and there will also be an on-board disco in the evening. spending the first night of your 5 Day MS Mayfair Nile Cruise in your cabin on the water in Luxor.

In the morning you will enjoy your good breakfast on MS Mayfair Nile Cruise, and then our Egyptologist tour guide will take you for a tour of the Luxor West Bank to Visit Valley of the Kings, the most impressive royal necropolis of ancient Egypt. Established more than 3000 years ago, during the reign of the 18th dynasty, the tombs are quite remarkable with their colors and various decorations.  Your next visit would be to the temple of Queen Hatshepsut, one of the most charming mortuary temples of all time. You will be exploring the terraces of the temple, admiring the statues of the queen disguised as a Pharaoh, in addition to the Punto section, the Chapel of Anubis, and the Chapel of Goddess Hathor and the Colossi of Memnon, spending this night of MS Esplanade Nile Cruise on the water at Esna.

Early Morning Sailing to Esna quite early in the morning, with breakfast being served out on the water while you are sailing towards Edfu. When you arrive at Edfu, your Egyptologist tour guide will escort you to see the truly magnificent Temple of Edfu or the Temple of Horus. This is the best-preserved temple ever discovered, thanks to the fact that it became buried beneath the sand and remained that way for more than 2000 years after it was abandoned by the Romans.

After spending some time at the temple, you will then return to the cruise ship and it will begin sailing to Kom Ombo. On arrival at Kom Ombo, you will once again disembark from the ship, and you will be taken to see the Kom Ombo Temple which was dedicated to two different gods. One half of the temple was dedicated to Sobek the crocodile god, while the other half was dedicated to Horus the falcon-headed god. Because this temple was dedicated to two different gods, both halves had to be identical to each other. Following your visit to the temple, you will return to the cruise ship, and it will then sail to Aswan where you'll be spending this night on the water.

Enjoy another breakfast on board the ship, and then your Egyptologist tour guide will be taking you for short tour in Aswan. During this tour you will get to see 3 amazing sites in Aswan, including the Aswan High Dam, Temple of Philae. Dedicated to the gods Osiris and Isis, the temple has some magnificent features including many pylons gigantic decorated stone capitals and many other wonders. The whole complex was relocated after the construction of the High Dam to its current location at the Agilkia Island.

Then move to visit of the day would be to the Unfinished Obelisk. This huge structure was left untouched after the Pharaohs of the New Kingdom deserted it because of a fault in the bottom of the obelisk. The visit to the Unfinished Obelisk would include an interesting explanation of the methods used by the Pharaohs to construct these huge obelisks and the reasons behind their building. Following your tour, you will return to the cruise ship in time for another good lunch, and then you will have the remainder of the day to yourself to enjoy as you wish. As usual, tea will be served in the afternoon, followed by another good dinner in the evening. Tonight, there will be a very entertaining Nubian Folkloric Show. Enjoy the last night on the tranquil waters of the Nile River in Aswan.

Today will be the last day of your Nile Cruise, after having your breakfast check-out from the cruise then be driven to the airport or to the railway station depending on what your onward travel plans are.
