Early Morning Sailing to Esna quite early in the morning, with breakfast being served out on the water while you are sailing towards Edfu. When you arrive at Edfu, your Egyptologist tour guide will escort you to see the truly magnificent Temple of Edfu or the Temple of Horus. This is the best-preserved temple ever discovered, thanks to the fact that it became buried beneath the sand and remained that way for more than 2000 years after it was abandoned by the Romans.
After spending some time at the temple, you will then return to the cruise ship and it will begin sailing to Kom Ombo. On arrival at Kom Ombo, you will once again disembark from the ship, and you will be taken to see the Kom Ombo Temple which was dedicated to two different gods. One half of the temple was dedicated to Sobek the crocodile god, while the other half was dedicated to Horus the falcon-headed god. Because this temple was dedicated to two different gods, both halves had to be identical to each other. Following your visit to the temple, you will return to the cruise ship, and it will then sail to Aswan where you'll be spending this night on the water.
