Most of the monuments, historical sites, and museums in Egypt open from 7 AM until 5 PM. Open-air historical sites, like the Pyramids of Giza, are open from 7:00 Am until 16:pm. Some museums have morning opening hours, from 9 AM to 4 PM evening opening hours, from 5 PM to 9 or 10 PM. during Ramadan, monthbe aware that these hours will change significantly. Sightseeing during Ramadan Month closed by 15:00pm.

Egypt is a relaxed country although relatively modest dress is recommended. wearing shorts for men in Cairo and other cities is common among Egyptians. Dressing with relative modesty is a way of respecting the local culture. The metro in Cairo has separate cars for women that might be more comfortable, especially during rush hours when the cars can be very full.

    Day 1: Arrival in Cairo
    Welcome to the Land of the Pharaohs
    • Your tour manager will meet and assist you at Cairo International Airport (arrival procedures) and will then escort you to your hotel in Cairo in an air-conditioned deluxe vehicle. At the hotel, your tour manager will assist you with a smooth check-in and review your budget vacation itinerary with you to establish and confirm pick-up times for each tour.

    Day 2
    Full day tour to Giza Pyramids, Sphinx, Memphis and Saqqara Tour
    • After breakfast served in the hotel, you would be ready to explore the wonders of Cairo. You begin your visits by the Giza Pyramids where your Egyptologist would tell you all about the construction of these massive startling structures that used to serve as the royal necropolis of the kings of Egypt during the Old Kingdom. You discover the secrets of the Grand Pyramid of Cheops, Chechen and Mykerinus. You will also view the greatness of the Pharaohs reflected in the Sphinx, the lion bodied and Pharaoh faced stone statue that protect the Giza Pyramids for years and years. 
    • You move on with your tour afterwards to visit Saqqara, one of the most interesting royal burial sites of ancient Egypt. The major highlight is the impressive Step Pyramid of Djoser, the belonged to the 3rd dynasty, more than 4500 years ago. This is the first pyramid to be built in Egypt.

    Day 3
    Aswan Sightseeing
    • You will be met at Aswan railway station and transferred to your hotel for check in. In the afternoon, have a sightseeing tour 
    • Start with the High Dam one of the greatest accomplishments of modern Egypt. Former president Gamal Abdel Nasser constructed the High Dam to preserve the water of the River Nile and produce electricity in 1960s
    • then on to the beautiful Temple of Philae which Dedicated to the gods Osiris and Isis, the temple has some magnificent features including many pylons gigantic decorated stone capitals and many other wonders. The whole complex was relocated after the construction of the High Dam to its current location at the Agilkia Island.

    Day 4
    Nubian Wedding
    • After breakfast, transfer by felucca to the Nubian village to discover the simple of Nubian people. The bride and groom will be met by the coordinator to arrange everything for a fascinating Nubian celebration. Before sunset and upon arrival, the bride and bridegroom are going to join the welcome Nubian Zaffa (procession that will resemble Nubian wedding party) enjoy Nubian music. Back to hotel and overnight in Aswan.

    Day 5
    Free day at Aswan / Overnight train -Back to Cairo
    • After breakfast, check out from your hotel in Aswan, and then have a free day in Aswan at your hotel. In the evening you will be transferred to Aswan railway station for departure to Cairo. Dinner and overnight on sleeping train.

    Day 6
    Full day Egyptian Museum, Coptic and Islamic Cairo
    • Breakfast on the train. Upon arrival you will be escorted by your private guide to visit: Egyptian Museum which features artifacts from the Pharaonic period. The museum displays a rare collection of 5000 years of art which is considered the largest most precious collection of Egyptian art in the world. Over 250,000 genuine artifacts are presented, including an exhibit dedicated to Tutankhamen collection of treasure, gold and jewelry which was enclosed in his tomb for over 3,500 years before it was discovered in the 1920s when his tomb was discovered.
    • Move to Coptic Cairo" where you will visit the "Hanging Church" which is dating back to the 3rd Century AD and was dedicated to Virgin Mary,It's called "Hanging" because of its location above the gatehouse of the ancient Roman fortress "Babylon" .It contains 110 Holy icons depicting beautiful religious scenes.
    • Then visiting "Saint Sergius and Bacchus Church" which is believed to have been built on the spot (The Crypt) where the holy family rested at the end of their journey into Egypt.
    • And ending Coptic Cairo tour with a visit to the "Jewish Synagogue of Ben Ezra" which gained its importance from its Geniza (Store room) was found during the 19th century containing a treasure of abandoned Hebrew secular and sacred manuscripts
    • Khan el-Khalili Bazaar where traders have been selling their ware ever since the 15th century. If there is anything you want to buy at the bazaar, your guide will be happy to help you find what you are looking for. Even if you don’t want to do any shopping, the bazaar is a great place to walk around, or to sit down for some coffee then transfer to your hotel in Cairo.
