Your tour Representative will meet and assist you at Cairo International Airport and then he will escort you to the hotel by exclusive air-conditioned deluxe vehicle. and confirm pick-up times for each tour. Overnight in Cairo.
Breakfast at your hotel in Cairo and then meet your Private guide who will accompany you to the Giza Plateau to visit the Great Pyramids of Giza Khufu, Khafre, and Menkaure, the Famous Sphinx and Valley temple facing the great statue. Lunch will be served in a local restaurant, then proceed to the Sakkara area to visit the Sakkara Complex, and the first pyramid ever built (Djoser Pyramid). Back to your hotel and overnight in Cairo.
Your Tour guide will pick you up from the hotel. You will begin your day tour by enjoying a visit to the most interesting museum, the Egyptian Museum. It features artifacts from the Pharaonic period. The museum hosts a rare collection of 5000 years of art and brilliance. It is considered the largest and most precious collection of Egyptian monuments in the whole world. Over 250,000 artifacts are exhibited, including an exhibit dedicated to Tutankhamun's collection of treasures, gold, and jewelry.
Afterwards, you proceed to explore the Citadel of Saladin & the Mosque of Mohamed Ali. Near the end of the Fatimid Caliphate (969 – 1178 CE), the Muslim ruler of Damascus struggled with the Crusaders to protect the Holy Lands & Jerusalem, Therefore, he sent one of his followers, Saladin, to control Egypt and to put an end to the Fatimid Caliphate. This is in addition to getting Egypt back to the Sunni doctrine of Islam. Saladin managed to do this and became the Caliph himself (1174 CE). Saladin decided to build a Citadel to defend Cairo against any potential attack. The Citadel became the seat of the government for decades afterward, until another Egyptian King, "Mohamed Ali", decided to build a mosque and a mausoleum for himself, in (1831 CE). Mohamed Ali was the founder of modern Egypt and the last Royal family of Egypt. His mosque at the citadel is a distinctive piece of art and architecture.
Lunch will be served in a local restaurant. You continue your tour in Cairo by exploring Coptic Cairo to visit the Hanging Church, one of the oldest and most marvelous in Egypt, the Ben Ezra Synagogue, the Church of St. Barbara, and the Church of Abu Serga. You will be transferred back to your hotel at the end of your tour in Cairo.
Breakfast at your hotel, and today you have the choice of having a free day in Cairo or joining our most valuable optional tour to the second capital of Egypt, Alexandria visiting one of the most important defensive strongholds, not only in Egypt but also along the Mediterranean Sea coast, Qaitbay Citadel, built in the 15th century by Sultan Qaitbay on the spot where Alexandria's ancient lighthouse once stood, then move on to the new and much acclaimed Alexandria Library. Also, visit the Roman cemetery cut out of the rock, the Catacombs. Return to your hotel in Cairo.
After breakfast in your hotel, your tour manager will pick you up and transfer you to Cairo International Airport for departure.
